PermaLink You Can Blog, Too... Here's how.04/03/2006 10:19 AM

This blog is intended to be a community blog. That means that you need to know how you can participate -- it's not a community if only one or two people write! If you're a member of LotusUserGroup.org (you can join here), you can post on this blog (subject to our blogging policy). But I've been told that it's easier said than done. So, here's your primer to posting on the blog...
  1. Decide what to post.  Did you create a new application or add a feature to an application? Did you solve a problem? Do you have a question that you want community feedback on? Did you read an article or blog entry somewhere else that you'd like to highlight? Did your user group meet recently? We'd like to hear about you -- your job, your user group, your applications. This is the place to tell everyone.
  2. Log in to your LotusUserGroup.org account using the Log In to Blog link on the left. If you're already logged in, you'll see a link on the top left called "New Blog Entry" -- click that to begin!
  3. Start your entry. Most of the fields at the top of the new blog entry don't need to be changed, but you might want to tell us where you're blogging from (Location), what category your blog entry should fall in (Category drop-down), and give your entry an inviting, interesting title. Make people who only look at the blog via RSS want to come to the site to read what you've written.
  4. Then type your entry.  When you're finished typing (and formatting, if you like), click the Submit button.
  5. Back to the left-side links to Log Out when you're done!

It's as easy as that, and we hope you'll contribute!
