LotusUserGroup.org’s Advisory Council provides direction, strategy, support, and service to the LotusUserGroup.org community. The council meets periodically to focus on the needs of the community. If you are interested in volunteering to be a member of the LotusUserGroup.org Advisory Council, please contact Scott Treggiari.
The following are the current members of the Advisory Council:
Rick MacGuigan
Rick MacGuigan is the president of the Metro New York Notes User Group and helps LotusUserGroup.org to maintain the QuickPlace hosting for regional and virtual user groups.
Chris Miller, Connectria, Director of Messaging and Collaboration
Chris Miller is the Director of Messaging and Collaboration at Connectria in St. Louis, Missouri. A PCLP in ND6, R5, R4 and Collaboration, Chris has been working with Domino administration since 1994. He spent five years as a technical editor for e-Pro Magazine, he is a sought-after speaker at numerous conferences including Lotusphere, and is a respected author of the popular book, Installing and Administrating the Sametime Gateway (A Consultant In Your Pocket Guide) and of the highly read LotusUserGroup.org newsletter Sys Admin Tips . Some say he spends all his time behind a computer, but you can also find him on the soccer field — playing or coaching. You can also find him at his weblog at www.idonotes.com.
Ed Brill, IBM/Lotus, Business Unit Executive
Ed Brill is Business Unit Executive, Worldwide Lotus Messaging Sales, IBM Software Group. In this position, Mr. Brill is responsible for the continued success of Lotus Notes and Domino, the market's leading collaborative software products. Brill works with the IBM sales organization, IBM business partners, and customers daily to provide insight into the Lotus strategy, product direction, and market successes. A frequent speaker at IBM and industry events worldwide, Ed is well known for direct contributions to the many Lotus software-focused virtual communities, including the Lotus Developer Domain and Lotus partner communities. Ed also authors a weblog on collaboration at www.edbrill.com.
Maurice Cogdell, IBM
Among other things, Maurice is active in working with the DC Notes Users Group.
David Stephens, WorkFlow Studios, Technical Sales Evangelist
David Stephens is a Technical Sales Evangelist for WorkFlow Studios. Prior to joining WFS, he held many positions for IBM, providing technical, sales and channels support for the Lotus brand for eight years. His recent focus has been on social/enterprise networking and collaboration. He has been involved with the Lotus community for several years by starting and providing leadership to Lotus Users Groups and co-founding LotusUserGroup.org with Wellesly Information Services. Prior to joining IBM Lotus, he was a Senior Notes Administrator for Shamrock Foods in Phoenix, Arizona. You can find valuable information about Lotus products and services on his Web site and in his monthly newsletter. He is an IBM Certified System Administrator and has a CLP in Administration for Lotus Notes and Domino. David resides in Chandler, AZ and is married to Kim Stephens and is the father of two pre-school boys.
Scott Treggiari, LotusUserGroup.org Program Director
Scott Treggiari is the program director for the LotusUserGroup.org organization and Web site. He has been involved in the Lotus community since joining Wellesley Information Services in 1998. Scott’s initial involvement in the Notes community focused on building and marketing conferences and seminars. Later Scott transitioned into the development of new and innovative advertising and exhibit opportunities for vendors in the Lotus community. In that position Scott has made many friends, acquaintances, business associates, and contacts all over the world in the Lotus community.
Debbie Lynd, Content Director Wellesley Information Services
Debbie Lynd has a long history with the Lotus community. She is a Certified Lotus Instructor for Notes and Domino, she has held the designations of Certified Principal Application Developer and Certified Principal System Administrator for Notes and Domino, Certified Specialist for cc:Mail, Lotus Notes, Domino and cc:Mail Consultant and Instructor, and Technical Editor for several Que books on Lotus Notes and Domino. Currently Debbie is the Content Director for THE VIEW conferences and seminars and is the lead content editor for all content on LotusUserGroup.org.
Tony Membrino, Marketing Manager, THE VIEW
Tony has been involved in the Lotus market at Wellesley Information Services (WIS) since 2004 helping to market VIEW administration and developer conferences and seminars. He was part of the original team who helped to launch LotusUserGroup.org at Lotusphere 2005 and a key proponent of those Sametime Stud and Domino Diva buttons that are now collector items. You can also blame Tony for the now infamous LUG pedometers that showed how many miles Lotusphere attendees were racking up going from session to session and to the next great party. Prior to joining WIS he was a research analyst at IDC following the IBM markets and a marketing manager for their Systems, Storage and Software business.
