  • Sinochem - Sinochem is China’s largest trading company and its first multinational conglomerate. It operates through more than 100 subsidiaries, engaging in energy, agriculture, chemicals, finance, and real estate businesses. To improve the productivity and collaboration of its employees by making their data and IT tools more accessible, Sinochem engaged IBM Software Services for Lotus to leverage the IBM Lotus Notes platform and created a composite application based on a SOA.   • Faculdade de Informática e Administração Paulista - Faculdade de Informática e Administração Paulista (FIAP ) is a college located in São Paulo, Brazil, focused on training the next generation of IT workers. More than 3,000 students attend the school. FIAP tries to mirror the technologies and practices of the modern job marketplace for the benefit of its students. Because workforces both in and out of IT are increas­ingly asked to work outside of traditional office environments, FIAP needed to adopt collaborative technologies to address the reality of this new job marketplace. FIAP engaged IBM to implement a new e-learning platform that students can use to effectively collaborate with one another and their teachers. Using the new technology, users can create blogs and virtual communities as well as organize online activities.   • VZP - VZP is the largest health insurance company in the Czech Republic, with 5,000 employees and 80 branches covering every region of the country. Your System, an IBM Premier Business Partner, helped VZP implement Autoprovoz, a car management system built on the IBM Lotus Notes and Domino platform. The solution is integrated with CCS, a card-based fuel purchasing system. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino.


  • Shikoku Electric Power Company - Shikoku Electric Power Company supplies electrical service to more than 2.8 million people. Recently, the company has expanded beyond the electrical service infrastructure it originally developed and now offers new data communications services, including cable TV, Internet and phone service over fiber to the home (FTTH). Growth drove the need to implement a communications system for knowledge sharing throughout the company, including critical information to enable rapid recovery from power outages during emergencies. When Shikoku Electric began to look at setting up a new system for internal communications, the company’s existing Lotus Notes/Domino implementation seemed a logical starting point. At the time, about 6,000 employees were already using Lotus Notes/Domino to send more than 14,000,000 e-mail transmissions annually. The system also included a database of about 6,500 documents, as well as a workflow system that was being used throughout the organization.
    Employing virtualization to deploy multiple IBM Lotus Notes and Domino servers on an IBM System z9 Business Class server, and using the resulting expanded software implementation as the basis for a new knowledge sharing system, Shikoku Electric extended the value of existing IT investments in IBM technology, simplifies operations and systems management, and enables cost-efficient scalability by using virtualization to add servers rather than buying new physical equipment.   • La Vacanza - La Vacanza is a small travel agency based in Hoogeveen, The Netherlands, which specialises in arranging accommodation in Italy for Dutch and Belgian holidaymakers. The company has more than 150 properties on its books, including apartments, villas and farmhouses throughout mainland Italy, Sicily and Sardinia. An entirely Web-based business, La Vacanza operates without any face-to-face contact with its customers, saw the need to offer rapid, personal and friendly service to vacationers. Working with an IBM Business Partner, La Vacanza design and implement a Lotus Domino application that enables the creation and publication of new Web pages using predesigned templates – enabling non-technical staff to add information, pictures and other content to the site without any need for Web design skills or programming knowledge. The company integrated IBM Lotus Sametime instant messaging into its Web site – enabling staff to interact with customers online. Now La Vacanza provides personal, responsive service: up to 20 percent of customers first contact the company via instant messaging and non-technical staff update information and pictures on the Web site easily.   • Slumberland- The Slumberland Furniture corporate opened its first store in 1967 and has since expanded to 120 retail locations and 3 regional distribution centers in 11 states across the central United States. With its growth came a need for a better way to communicate with its geographically dispersed retail locations that also allowed for security of its proprietary information and expedient dissemination of frequent information updates. Slumberland also sought scalability, an open architecture, and integration with its Oracle-based ERP system. Slumberland worked with IBM Business Partner Genus Technologies to leverage IBM WebSphere Portal Enable and IBM Content Manager software to develop its store operations intranet portal solution, SlumberLink. The system provides stable and reliable information architecture that offers secure access, automated worklow, and other benefits.   • ELLE - ELLE is the Estonian, Latvian & Lithuanian Environment Ltd, an international environmental consulting company supporting environmental strategy and policy, capacity building, environmental legislation and environmental impact assessment, as well as training, seminars and workshops. When ELLE retained work as an outside consultancy for Astrale GEIE who works to provide assistance to the European Union’s LIFE Unit, ELLE needed to create an environment project management system (EPMS) to help these groups’ project staff, experts and managers better coordinate and manage projects. ELLE developed a new version of its pre-existing EPMS, based on IBM Lotus Notes and Domino software, which added functionality to extend its internal documentation, project management and project control capabilities to LIFE Unit projects. Called LIFEtrack, the updated system provides users with a single, centralized system for project documentation, control and management; Helps users manage and organize business operations, including document usage and storage, time and task management, and project team creation and management; Simplifies performance assessment with comprehensive project scoring; Eases reporting and organizational management while supporting payments through collection capabilities
  • INEOS - A leading worldwide petrochemicals company with headquarters in the UK improves communications, establishes unified rules for using collaborative tools, and implements security improvements when it engages IBM and IBM Business Partner Easi to implement IBM Lotus Notes and IBM Lotus Domino software products.   • Hartman Rauta Oy - An operator of hardware and do-it-yourself stores in Finland increases the security and flexibility of its mobile connections while improving integration when it upgrades to IBM Lotus Notes V8.5 software and implements IBM Lotus Notes Traveler software, IBM Lotus Mobile Connect software and IBM Lotus Quickr software
  • Principal Financial Group - A leading global provider of financial products and services to businesses, individuals and institutional clients, The Principal Financial Group wanted to meet the needs of client companies’ employees by offering personalized service to help them utilize available benefits and build financial strategies. Working with IBM Lotus, they built an interactive application based on IBM® Lotus® Expeditor software that combines data from multiple sources to generate tailored financial analyses and action steps.   • Tri-West - TRI-WEST, a leading floor covering distributor to retailers and flooring contractors in the Western United States, including Hawaii and Guam, saves US$937,600 per year and improves customer service and business agility when it engages IBM BP Zobrist Consulting Group to build a portal solution based on IBM WebSphere Portal - Express and supported by IBM Lotus Web Content Management, IBM Content Manager Enterprise Edition and IBM Rational HATS software.   • Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England (CCNNE) - At the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Northern New England an aging and unreliable phone system was proving increasingly costly to support, and slowing down productivity and responsiveness with unplanned downtime, limited features and an inability to integrate with modern collaboration tools. As a solution, the company integrated IBM Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino collaboration and messaging software with the 3Com VCX VoIP platform on two IBM System i® 515 servers to gain highly available telephony interoperability, fully integrated with RIM BlackBerry devices for improved collaboration on the go.   • The Hester Group - The Hester Group, a multi­cultural advertising and public relations firm, wanted to bolster its file and IT management strategies to better align with the needs of its business, increase collaboration, and eliminate a cumbersome, peer-to-peer file sharing system currently used to distribute information throughout the company. Working with IBM Business Partner, OnSite Technology, Inc., The Hester Group deployed a new infrastructure management solution based on IBM Lotus Foundations Start software which simplified IT management, improved security, and eased collaboration.   • Rheinmetall is a successful, €4 billion, international player in the automotive supply and defense technology industries with more than 19,000 employees worldwide. The company's existing collaboration platform was outdated and they needed to find a solution for efficient and highly transparent collaboration among employees and within teams, regardless of time zones, national borders and corporate divisions.

    Rheinmetall worked with IBM who, according to Markus Bentele, Rheinmetall's CIO, "offered the best solution and technical expertise compared with those of its competitors." IBM Lotus implemented a collaboration software suite consisting of IBM Lotus Connections, IBM Lotus Quickr and IBM Lotus Sametime software— and including integration into the SAP company portal and implementation of functional requirements in close coordination with IBM Labs. The results were an effective collaboration meeting their requirements, a high level of personal information management, and long-term security and protection of investments thanks to further development work through IBM.

  • The National Catholic Risk Retention Group — The National Catholic Risk Retention Group, Inc., is a specialized insurance company that offers solutions for financing and managing the liability risks of the Catholic Church. Established in 1988, the organization has shareholders consisting of 66 archdioceses and dioceses and one risk pooling trust. The group needed to provide its shareholders, directors and staff with a central and highly secure repository for sharing data and communicating a wide variety of information. The organization also wanted to automate several key forms submitted by its members and their service providers throughout the year, saving them time and effort.

    The group teamed with IBM Premier Business Partner Mercury Consulting Corp. to deploy IBM Websphere® Portal Express software. Members access security-rich, role-based documentation and workflow applications developed on the IBM Lotus® Domino® Enterprise Server platform. The portal is integrated with the client’s IBM Lotus Notes® environment, enabling employees to access email and calendar functions from practically anywhere through the portal interface. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino Enterprise Server, Lotus Notes, and WebSphere Portal.

  • The Delaware County Bank and Trust Company — Working with IBM, the IT team at The Delaware County Bank and Trust Company discovered an innovative way of working that delivers better service faster for multiple stakeholder groups. The bank uses Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime and Lotus Quickr to save money and improve service.

  • Calvary Baptist Academy — Calvary Baptist Academy is an educational institution fully accredited by the Louisiana Department of Education. The school wanted to update its file management strategy to improve data access and simplify the management of records. The school deployed the IBM Lotus® Foundations Start small business appliance to establish a central­ized file management system for its organization and a common management platform for school data. The solution also provides security features, including antivirus, antispam and a firewall, to protect critical records.
  • Virginia Commonwealth University — Virginia Commonwealth University is the largest university in Virginia and ranked among the top 100 universities in the United States in sponsored research. With two main campuses in Richmond, Virginia, and satellite operations world-wide, the university had a fractured infrastructure with many different email systems and limited collaboration capability. To reduce support resources needed, eliminate incompatibility issues, boost collaboration capabilities, and improve scalability, the university selected an IBM Lotus solution that included IBM Lotus Notes and Domino, Quickr, and Sametime which provide integrated communication and collaboration, with team spaces and document management to support group projects including a four-year, multimillion dollar project with hundreds of participants.

  • University of London — Working with Open Logic, the University of London is implementing IBM WebSphere Portal to surface SITS: Vision applications and a suite of IBM Lotus software – providing online learning environments, email and administrative support via a simple Web interface. Secure single sign-on is provided by IBM Tivoli software.   • Compagnie d'Entreprises — One of Belgium’s largest construction companies gains the ability to easily and securely collaborate with external customers when it engages IBM Software Services for Lotus to help it deploy and customize a solution based on IBM Lotus Quickr software. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino, and Lotus Quickr.

  • Sukut Construction — The largest mass excavation and grading contractor in California and nationally recognized with over 30 industry honors, Sukut Construction now has an electronic forms solution for managing employees, equipment and job sites. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Forms.

  • Suntel Ltd. — Suntel, the third largest telecom company in Sri Lanka with over 550,000 customers, required an integrated mail messaging system that would enable the company to evolve as a fully collaborative organization. In Lotus Domino, Suntel found a reliable, scalable enterprise-grade email, collaboration capabilities, and custom application platform. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino, Lotus Symphony, Lotus Sametime, Lotus Notes.

  • Catholic Healthcare West — Catholic Healthcare West needed to provide clinicians with anytime, anywhere access to relevant patient data. Using IBM WebSphere Portal Enable software and Fusion Web from Carefx, it created a context-sensitive clinical workspace that provides an aggregate view of patient data.   • Hendricks Regional Health — Hendricks Regional Health is a nonprofit health system with a medical staff of 250 physicians in more than 45 specialties. With help from IBM Business Partner, ITM Associates, Hendricks Regional Healthcare developed automated Patient Run Forms and On-Call applications, enhancing emergency management, simplifying the work of emergency responders, and improving accountability, quality control and internal communications. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino, Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime.

  • The Sydney Diocese of the Anglican Church — The Sydney Diocesan Secretariat, part of the Anglican Church of Australia is the central administrative organization of the Anglican Church, supporting an extensive number of independent Anglican organizations including parish churches, Independent and local schools, Anglican Retirement Villages and Anglican Youthworks. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino, Lotus Sametime, and Lotus Quickr.

  • Typex Group— An IT solutions provider in the United Kingdom leverages IBM Lotus Quickr software to team with international vendors in delivering its cornerstone solution, reducing project management time by an estimated 20 percent and helping to limit risk during project implementation. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Quickr, Lotus Domino Enterprise Server, Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime.

  • The Kentucky Baptist Convention — The Kentucky Baptist Convention (KBC) is a cooperative missions and ministry organization made up of more than 2,400 autonomous Baptist churches in Kentucky. A variety of state and worldwide ministries are coordinated through its administrative headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky. Solutions Implemented include: Lotus Domino, Lotus Sametime, Lotus Quickr, and Lotus Notes.


  • Manatee County Sheriff's Office — Manatee County Sheriff’s Office provides law enforcement and corrections services for the growing, West-Coast Florida county’s agricultural, commercial, industrial and residential constituents. The department prides itself on its state-of-the-art technology and highly trained staff. The Sheriff's Office needed to figure out how to handle a growth in workload, culminating in almost 2,500 phone calls per week from the community regarding various public safety issues and arrest inquiries. Deploying an information portal built with IBM WebSphere® Portal Express V6 software, which includes IBM Lotus® Web Content Management™ software, the Staff can now use the portal to create and manage content for the sheriff’s office Web site—even though they have no special IT or Web training. Solutions implemented include: WebSphere Portal Express, and Lotus Workplace Web Content Management.
  • Lodge Corttrel — Lodge Cottrell Ltd. (Lodge Cottrell) is a leading designer, supplier and installer of large-scale, industrial air-pollution control equipment. It operates internationally through a network of associates, partners, agents and licensees. The company needed to Implement an easy-to-deploy collaboration platform and find a cost-effective way to make accounting data transparent.They implemented a suite of IBM Lotus solutions to improve its enterprisewide communications, collaboration, and integration capabilities resulting in facilitates working remotely, reducing travel costs, improved end user efficiency for facilities, and more. Solutions implemented include: Lotus EasySync Pro, Lotus Sametime, Lotus Quickr, Lotus Domino Designer, Lotus Domino Express, and Lotus Enterprise Integrator for Domino.
  • Sirius Computer Solutions — Sirius Computer Solutions, a nationwide IT solutions provider, improved costs after displacing an existing voice telecom system with a new IP telephony solution from IBM and 3Com Corporation. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Sametime, Lotus Domino, Lotus Connections, Lotus Quickr, System i, and Linux.
  • Trovus — To eliminate document management bottlenecks and foster collaboration among staff, Trovus chose IBM Lotus Quickr to supplant email for collaborative document creation and management with version control. Now, staff can co-author proposals faster and more effectively while leveraging input from all team members; clients can be made part of the proposal process while gaining insight into a new way of working; the quality of proposals has improved, and co-development with clients increases likelihood of closing the deal; integration of Lotus Quickr with popular desktop software allows users to continue working with the tools they know.   • Holiday Region Lammertal — The Tourism Offices of Holiday Region Lammertal, is one of 31 Austrian tourism offices tasked with promoting Austria as a vacation destination. The Holiday Region Lammertal, with a distributed workforce, needed to reduce security threats to its messaging environment, orchestrate the activities of its employees, and keep everyone abreast of the latest information. The organization turned to IBM Lotus Notes and IBM Lotus Domino software to speed collaboration, ease remote access, simplify and streamline workflow management and boost security for a distributed workforce.   • Jibes — The semiconductor industry adjusts production goals on an hourly basis, which creates a volatile situation for subcontractors. A major semiconductor manufacturer needed to be able to feed its suppliers’ information on its “reschedule-ins” and “reschedule-outs”— its information on rescheduling more or less products to meet a fluctuating market. The semiconductor company uses portal technology to provide all its employees with access to the information they need to do their jobs. This portal technology can also be extended to partners, but some of the partners don’t have a portal or any vehicle for making the information accessible to its needs, nor the resources to build one. IBM partner, Jibes, worked with the semiconductor manufacturer to create dynamic demand planning using enterprise mashups from IBM. Lotus solutions implemented include: Lotus Mashups, WebSphere sMash, IBM InfoSphere, and MashupHub.

  • Hess Corporation — Hess Corporation operates more than 870 gas stations featuring convenience stores in 14 eastern U.S. states. Needing to improve the accuracy and reduce the cost of its manual enterprise wide inventory-tracking processes, the company engaged IBM Business Partner Openstream to revamp its inventory tracking system. Solutions implemented include: IBM Lotus Expeditor.
  • OKI Printing Solutions — Striving to maintain its reputation for excellent customer service levels, while continuing to follow a lean staffing strategy, OKI Printing Solutions needed an advanced Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution. Working with IntelliGlobe, an IBM Business Partner, OKI Printing Solutions deployed a customized CRM solution built on the IBM Lotus Notes and Domino platform. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino, Lotus Quickr, and Lotus Sametime.

  • Dansikring Direct — To help staff resolve IT issues more rapidly, Dansikring implemented Helpdesk.Easy from Sander Software, a solution built on the IBM Lotus Domino platform which is integrated with IBM Lotus Sametime software and can be accessed by both IBM Lotus Notes and simple Web clients. Solutions Implemented include: Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino, and Lotus Sametime.
  • Mxtran — Wanting to expand its portfolio of mobile payment solutions, Mxtran devised a new “wallet phone” offering that involved attaching radio frequency identification (RFID) tags to cell phones. These tags would act as prepaid credit cards, allowing consumers to transfer funds to the wallet phone and subsequently purchase goods and services at retailers using only their cell phones. Mxtran needed an integration framework for the wallet phone system and, teaming with IBM Global Technology Services, implemented IBM Lotus® Expeditor, Version 6.1 which serves as a bridge between the prepaid credit lines of wallet phone users and payment terminals in department stores across Taiwan and China.

  • Revision 88 — Revision 88, based in Esbjerg, Denmark, is one of eleven chartered accountancy firms in the Danrevi Group. The group employs 110 people. Revision 88 implemented a solution from Revimentor which provides quality control and document management for the audit process. The solution is built on the company’s existing IBM Lotus platform and combines information extracted from the company’s email environment with letters, telephone logs and other documentation.
  • Niro — Niro A/S, part of the GEA Group, is a Danish company that specializes in the development, design and engineering of liquid and powder processing equipment for the manufacturing of products in powder, granular or agglomerate form. Niro deployed IMAM technology (www.imam.dk), an IBM Lotus Sametime solution from IBM Business Partner Semaphor (www.semaphor.dk) to facilitate the creation of IM agents that enable users to quickly query the company’s databases and retrieve information via a simple Lotus Sametime interface. This deployment eliminates the need for specialized client software and makes it easier for users to access information. IMAM is designed to enable non-technical users to create IM agents quickly and easily, without any need for coding – Niro was able to set up three new IM agents on the day the solution went live. Lotus Sametime supports mobile devices, so Niro will be able to extend the solution to travelling sales teams. Solutions Implemented include: Lotus Sametime.
  • Automobil Lamborghini — Lamborghini implemented a Web portal based on IBM WebSphere Portal Express, and worked with IBM Premier Business Partner Tecla (www.tecla.it) to extend it using Lotus Sametime and IBM Lotus QuickPlace. The company also integrated a corporate intranet into the solution.
     
  • Cubist Pharmaceuticals — The disparate set of systems Cubist was using to manage clinical trials could not scale to handle growth, resulting in a lack of process automation and standardization. To move the trial oversight in-house, Cubist deployed a robust clinical trial management system built on the IBM® Lotus Notes® and Lotus® Domino® platform. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino.
  • GXS — GXS Trading Grid is a global B2B e-commerce and integration platform that supports the creation and adoption of on-demand supply chain management solutions for companies of any size. The company’s customers needed a solution that could render forms that looked like their paper equivalent, perform complex table look-ups and support double-byte character languages such as Japanese and Chinese. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Forms, and WebSphere Application Server.
  • IBM CIO Office — The IBM Office of the CIO needed to cost-effectively deliver global collaboration tools in a secure and heterogeneous environment to a broad array of 450,000 IBM end users. With IBM® Lotus® software running on multiple operating systems, users can now save time and increase productivity no matter how they work. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes 8 and Lotus Domino 8
  • National Football League — The NFL gains a dynamic, well-organized Web portal that caters exclusively to the national and international media and fosters goodwill between the league and the press when it deploys a solution leveraging IBM Lotus and IBM WebSphere software. Solutions implemented include: IBM Websphere Portal Server Enable v6, IBM Websphere Information Integrator Omnifind Edition, Websphere Application Server Network Deployment v6, Workplace Web Content Management, Portal Document Management, Workplace Forms Designer, Forms Viewer and Forms Server 2.6.1, Portlet Factory Designer, Dashboard Framework, Rational Application Developer v7.0, Rational Performance Tester, MS-SQL Server 2000 SP4, and LS-21 Blades with AMD Opteron Servers.
  • Nutra-Flo Protein and Biotech Products — A leading producer of quality animal feed ingredients improves communication and collaboration with its employees, partners and customers when it upgrades its IBM Lotus Notes messaging platform to Version 8 and implements IBM Lotus Sametime and IBM Lotus Quickr software. Solutions implemented include: WebSphere Portal Enable, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ.
  • Tri-Search — Tri-Search provides online services to legal practitioners, local government agencies, accountants, real estate agents and surveyors.The company was looking for an online platform that would help it gain a competitive edge and develop an interface between the government agencies that kept records and the solicitors who needed to use them. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino.
  • Healthways, Inc. — Healthways uses .NET and Java technologies to help 27 million members achieve their best health by providing proactive Health and Care SupportSM programs for individuals at each phase of life. Healthways needed to reduce paper and postage costs for printing and mailing literature to its members, while growing its recipient base. With a self-service portal, the company could provide an alternative to costly paper-based processes and offer around-the-clock, Web-based access to health and disease management documents. Healthways implemented an eFulfillment Portal based on IBM WebSphere® Portal Enable software and the IBM Workplace Web Content Management™ application to address their needs. Solutions implemented include: Workplace Web Content Management, WebSphere Portal Enable.
  • Zobrist Consulting Group — HTML-based content creation at Zobrist impeded communication with clients on projects, slowed sales and made it difficult for customers to quickly update commercial Web sites with the latest product offerings. With IBM® Workplace Web Content Management™ software, the company can speed collaboration and content creation.
    Solutions implemented include: Workplace Web Content Management, Lotus QuickPlace, WebSphere Commerce - Express, WebSphere Portal, DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX and Windows.
  • COFRM — The Colegio Oficial de Farmacéuticos de la Región de Murcia (COFRM) is an association that provides services for all pharmacy professionals in the Murcia region of south-eastern Spain. COFRM worked with Isotader, an IBM Business Partner, to develop a quality management solution based on COFRM’s existing IBM Lotus Notes and Domino 7.5 platform. The solution provides built-in workflows for both COFRM’s internal operations and associate pharmacies, which access the system remotely via a Lotus Notes client. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino.
  • OTP Bank Romania — OTP Bank is the biggest bank in Hungary and a member of OTP Bank Group, one of the leading financial groups in central and eastern Europe. The group operates in Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine. OTP Bank Romania implemented IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Express and IBM Lotus Domino Collaboration Express software to help scale to accommodate the bank's rapid growth and provide the necessary messaging and collaboration capabilities. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino Collaboration Express, and Lotus Domino Messaging Express.
  • Celina Insurance Group — Celina Insurance Group needed to increase competitiveness against larger insurance carriers by integrating independent agents into business processes. An extranet based on IBM® Lotus and IBM DB2® software running on an IBM AS/400® server allowed them to create a collaborative environment. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime, Lotus Domino, DB2 9 for Linux, UNIX and Windows.
  • Metropolitan Life Insurance Company — To achieve an aggressive goal of growing its customer base, MetLife needed an infrastructure that could support expansion without compromising business. The company standardized its enterprise IT infrastructure to create a powerful, integrated computing environment. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, and Lotus Domino.

  • Hospitales Nisa — Hospitales Nisa is a private healthcare group which operates five hospitals throughout Spain. The group works with over 1,500 medical professionals and treats more than 200,000 patients per year. Hospitales Nisa worked with IBM Business Partner Isotader (www.isotader.com) to develop and implement a new quality management solution based on IBM Lotus Notes and Domino 6.5. The solution provides an integrated communication platform and repository for vital process documents. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, and Lotus Domino.
  • Pierburg GmbH — Pierburg worked with IBM to remodel its business processes and upgrade global systems to a new version of its ERP software, designing a core template based on the SAP for Automotive solution portfolio, with standardized interfaces for suppliers and customers. The solution is hosted by IBM Mittelstand Systeme (IMS). Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino, SAP.
  • Regent Building Materials Supply Company Lmt. — Regent implemented an FLP Enterprise Management System solution that acts as a centralized database management system and helps streamline the client’s invoicing, delivery scheduling, stock balance control, accounting, time sheet and check-printing processes. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino, Lotus Domino and Collaboration Express.
  • TDG — TDG worked with ThroughBox IT (www.throughboxit.com), an IBM Premier Business Partner, to implement a Web-enabled workflow solution using its FastWorks Operational Health and Safety application on the IBM Lotus Domino communication platform to create a system called SHADOW. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino.
  • Clear C2 — IBM Business Partner Clear C2 wanted to build a comprehensive CRM solution to integrate sales, marketing and customer service into one seamless operation. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino, Domino Everyplace Access Server, WebSphere Portal, System i, System p, and System x.
  • TCE TOOLS — A small global company, TCE Tools, called on IBM and Acuity Software, an IBM business partner, to help modernize its communication methods by developing a solution that would enable TCE customers to directly access the TCE enterprise resource planning system via the Internet. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Sametime, Lotus Domino Collaboration Express, WebSphere Portlet Factory, WebSphere Portal Express, and System i.
  • VARIOUS COMPANIES — This brochure showcases eight recent projects at UK companies, where IBM Business Partners leveraged Lotus technologies and their own expertise to meet the specific business needs of their customers. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, and Lotus Domino.
  • OPAL FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES —Mainsoft and IBM help Opal Future Technologies reduce operating costs by consolidating eight funds management systems into one. Solutions implemented include: Websphere Portal.
  • THE HILLMAN GROUP — The remote staff of The Hillman Group needed direct access to business intelligence tools. IBM WebSphere Portal and Lotus software now provide integrated access to applications, business processes, reporting and documentation. Solutions used include: Lotus Notes, Lotus QuickPlace, WebSphere Portal, Lotus Sametime, and System i.
  • FABBRICA TESSUTI ELASTICI — Fabbrica Tessuti Elastici Besana S.p.A., which produces elastic fabric for men’s and women’s underwear, implemented a Lotus solution that enables a highly available collaboration environment that efficiently sends and receives email. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, and Lotus Domino.
  • Catholic Life Insurance — The static Web site of Catholic Life did not lend itself to community building, and employees lacked the ability to update the site dynamically. With IBM® Lotus® Domino® Utility Server Express software, the organization found a cost-effective and flexible platform for building a dynamic and interactive Web community. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Domino Utility Server Express.
  • ARPEL — In order to improve document creation and management, ARPEL implemented a solution based on IBM® WebSphere® Portal Enable, IBM Lotus Notes® and Domino® Version 7, IBM Lotus® QuickPlace® and IBM Lotus Sametime® software running on an IBM eServer™ xSeries® server helps reduce software licensing costs by about 50 percent. Solutions implemented include: Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino, Lotus QuickPlace, Lotus Sametime, and WebSphere Portal.
  • RENFE — RENFE deployed WebSphere Portal running unders SUSE Linux on the IBM System z platform to create a single, centralized intranet for staff. Solutions implemented include: WebSphere Portal, System z9, System z, Linux, Information Integration, and Information On Demand.
